I picked up a kraken 8 string at a steal, but the stock pickups weren't great. I put this in the bridge, and VOILA!!! The thing sounds fantastic. The instructions are easy, and Seymour Duncan has a webpage with alternate wiring options. I've never soldered a pickup in before, and it took me 20 minutes.
